Sodom and Camorra - Once Upon A Time In Italy

This year's meeting of the mafia bosses is held in the motherland of the underworld. It is quite dangerous in bella Italia and everybody is out to kill and hunt for money.

Summer in Italy. People enjoy their lives, take a sun bath, swim in the ocean, and have a lazy glass of red wine in one of the numerous Trattorias. Our family pursue their businesses - they don't know a holiday in the common sense of the word. The women live an extravagant lifestyle in a wonderful garden with a pool in the north of Italy, close to Venice. They are successful traders. They trade weapons, drugs, women, oil, gold, and everything with a high profit margin. But the competition is strong. Since generations rivaling families make their business difficult. Especially the dreaded Venitian clan of the Ramazzotti gives la Famiglia a constant headache.

La Mama - Gloria-Maria took leadership of the Clan 10 years ago. She is the Mama, the matriarch. She is the tycoon of house, garden, and the family. She is the strategist and the monarch of the kitchen.

During the big gathering with the Alpina clans in 1999 in Austria it came to a dramatic showdown. At that time her mother Camilla was trading hard liquor. She supplied the entire camp with fine moonshine Grappa. A good stroke of business. Suddenly, the Austrian mafia tried to take over the business with their Austrian fruit brandy. A relentless fight followed. The redoubtable siblings Zenzi and Resi took Camilla hostage and a certain person named Monika G. executed her with 30 bullets. Since that very day Gloria-Maria is the leader of the clan. Zenzi and Resi paid for that with their lives and are just history. Monika G. has gone into hiding. Rumours are around that she is currently in Italy.

La Zia - Gina since she was 18 years old, Gina is fulfilling the role of the executive Mafiosina of the family.  She is in peak condition, cunning, and fast, and she is always on her guard. No mission is too dangerous for her, no distance too far, no water too deep to reach her targets. She is leading the businesses of La Famiglia. She always reaches her goals - violently, if necessary.

Five years ago she met Sophia at a masked ball in the Palazzo of the Ramazzotti clan. It was the Carneval season in Venice. The music played and the costumes were gorgeous. And then there was this adorable lady with the long blonde hair and the gracious motion. Her laughter was like a chime and Gina's hunting instinct was triggered right away. She asked Sophia for a dance. She laid in her arms like a princess. Gina was fully aware that Sophia was the girlfriend of Louisa - the boss of the Ramazzotti clan. Gina wanted to hit Louisa where it would hurt her most: she wanted to take the beautiful Sophia away from her. But when she danced with her, Gina truly and unexpectedly fell in love. So they escaped through the backdoor of the Palazzo where Gina's speedboat was waiting. Since then the Ramazzottis seek revenge. But Gina knows no fear and she will not rest until she takes over the role of the leading clan in Venice from the Ramazzotti clan.

La Prima Donna - Sophia is a true diva. She always has her head around her appearance, hangs out in the fancy Venice fashion parlours, and asks her driver to take her to the hairdresser every week.

Her former lover, the nasty Louise Ramazzotti, cut her long curly hair in front of the entire family to punish her for an escapade. Since then, her hair was never curly again and she hates Louisa and her family from the bottom of her heart. She loves Gina even though she is fully aware that Gina has escapades from time to time. Recently she witnessed Gina disappearing with an Italian beauty in the backroom of a glamorous casino. She boiled with rage and raved with a burst of jealousy the next evening. Gloria-Maria had a serious talk with her then and made it clear what the family is expecting from her: 100% loyalty and to accept everything Gina does. Gina is taking care of the whole family and therefore is allowed to do everything she wants. Later on, Gina surprised her with a brilliant bracelet and since then Sophia holds her tongue. She takes comfort in an escapade with her confidant - her driver, Vanessa.

La Messaggera - Vanessa is leading her profession as the driver of the family with passion. She loves her vehicles and driving is her life. She drives with skill and precision, sometimes on two wheels. She can deal with every car chase and the repairs and tuning of the family cars are no problem for her.

Years ago, she worked as a driver for the Ramazzotti clan. She used to tune the family's prized Maserati. When the daughter of the family carried out her fury one day on the beautiful car by setting fire to it, Vanessa couldn't stand her life in the family any longer and left. That same night, she left the Palazzo and took the job at La Famiglia that was known all over the country for the love for their cars. Since then the Ramazzottis grimly hunt for her. They want to kill her, because she knows all secrets of the family: every weakness of the clan members, every habit, and every dirty little detail.

La Nonna - Madre Santa Lucia is the cleric of the family. She is handling every marriage ceremony, every baptism, every funeral. She is advising the family with every clerical question. She is shriving everybody - and that alone is a full-time job with that family. She is gaining a fortune from her job - parts of that are indeed hush money. She has excellent contacts to the Vatican in Rome and is using them for the advantage of La Famiglia. The Carabinieri are looking the other way when protection money is collected from the Trattorias and stores of the neighbourhood. They are not bothered when they speed through the cities at 120 km/h. Due to their contacts to the Vatican she was able to organise a church service in Switzerland for all mafia clans a few years ago.

Recently the dispute with the Ramazzottis entered a new realm... Being the number one clan in Venice, the Ramazzottis wanted to get the protection money business in the city back from La Famiglia. So they spread the rumour of Gloria-Maria's death and destroyed the beautiful Ducati of Gina by putting it to the junk press, displaying the remains publicly on the Markus square in Venice for everybody to see. Gina answered with a counter-strike: she bombed the ammunition dump of the Ramazzottis and scrawled a huge graffiti to the white walls of the Doge Palace: "Louisa is a lazy couch-potatoe, can't shoot, and I already have her wife!". Since then the fight is ignited to full power and the air in the alleys of Venice burns like fire.

Hard times are ahead. You will only survive as Famiglia when you follow some advice:

• As the experienced driver, Vanessa should always lead your group while driving. Be observant on the streets!
• Don't drive unarmed!
• Dressing and appearance play an important role in Italy.
