Please note: we limit the period of our fund-raising campaign up to May 15th, 2011. At this time we we'll transfer the ammount of donations completely from the WIMA Germany account to the WIMA Japan Account.

 

The reason is that we want to avoid transferring single and smaller amounts over a longer period which means higher transfer fees for each process.

WIMA Germany supports the fundraising campaign by WIMA Japan to help the earthquake and tsunami victims in the prefectures of Miyagi and Iwate.

We have thought long and hard about how to provide useful assistance from our site. We have also documented our mail exchange with the WIMA Women of Japan on this site. Here is the latest information:

WIMA Japan has set up its own fund-raising campaign to support people in Miyagi and Iwate.
To focus our activities and to ensure that donations will arrive where they are required, we agree with and fully support the WIMA Japan campaign.

We are collecting donations to the Central WIMA Germany account and will then transfer the money to Japan. Doing it like this means that transfer fees are kept to a minimum.
